Pakistan has offered the brotherly Muslim state Bahrain to participate in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which is considered as fate-changer for the entire region. During a joint ministerial session, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz offered Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa Bahraini to invest in hydropower plants and Thar coal power project under the CPEC. Besides this, two contracts have also been signed in the session under which both countries will cooperate with each other in 11 sectors including defense.
Latter, Sartaj Aziz while addressing a press conference expressed that CPEC will take Gwadar to new heights of prosperity and increase investment opportunities in Pakistan. “Bahrain can also benefit from this mega project,” he said, adding that both countries have agreed to set up a business council.
Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa also expressed his views on the importance of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and said this project will have positive impact on whole region, including his country Bahrain.
